King's Academy Binfield uniform can be ordered from Stevensons website.

🏫 Core Uniform Rules & Policy

  • Uniform Enforcement: The policy is strict. Uniforms must be worn correctly at all times, including on the journey to and from school.

  • Inclusivity: The policy is equitable; any student can wear any item from the approved list.

  • Naming: All clothing items must be clearly named.

  • Branding: No branded products may be worn for school.

  • Non-Compliance: Failing to adhere to the policy results in sanctions inline with the behavior and conduct policy.

👔 Daily Uniform Requirements

Tie KAB tie in 'House' colors. Must be correctly tied with the badge sitting directly under the knot. (Houses assigned in July) Stevensons only
Shirt Plain white with a plain collar. Can be long or short-sleeved. Top button must be fastened. Any retailer
Skirts KAB tartan skirt, worn on or below the knee. Stevensons only
Trousers Plain black, full-length, smart, and tailored. No stretch jersey, lightweight cotton, skinny, or fashion styles. Any retailer (Stevensons styles serve as a guide)
Jumper (Optional) Navy jumper with the KAB badge. Must be worn underneath the blazer, never instead of it. Stevensons only
Socks / Tights Plain black socks (knee-length or short) or plain black tights. No trainer socks or logos. Any retailer
👞 Shoe Requirements

  • Must be plain black, flat, logo-free, and leather/leather-like (capable of being polished).

  • Forbidden: Canvas shoes, trainers, boots (including ankle boots), toeless/backless shoes, suede, and any shoes that look "trainer-like."

  • Note: The Executive Principal is the final arbiter of what counts as an appropriate shoe.

👟 PE Kit Requirements

Compulsory PE Items

  • Polo Shirt: Navy blue with a sky-colored panel and the KAB badge. (Must buy from Stevensons).

  • Socks: Navy blue with sky turnover.

  • Lower Body (Choose at least one): * Sports Shorts (Navy blue)

    • Sports Skort (Navy blue)

Optional PE Items

  • Sports Training Top: Navy blue, round neck or zip neck. No hoods.

  • Sports Leggings: Navy blue sports material. No cotton fashion leggings.

  • Tracksuit Pants: Navy blue.

⚠️ PE Branding Rule: For the socks, lower body, training tops, leggings, and track pants, you may buy unbranded plain navy alternatives from any retailer, but no visible sports branding (like Nike, Adidas, or Reebok) is permitted.

Essential PE Footwear & Safety Gear

  • Trainers: Plain black or white. Small logos are only allowed if completely unavoidable. Must have non-marking soles.

  • Football Boots: Plain (ideally black) with moulded studs for the 3G pitch. Absolutely no metal studs. (Compulsory for Year 7 rugby/football players, and compulsory for all students by Year 8).

  • Safety Gear: Gum shields and shin pads are required for many curriculum and after-school activities.

💇 Personal Appearance, Hair & Makeup
Hairstyles

  • Must look professional; high-fashion styles and celebrity-influenced trends are not allowed.

  • No shaved patterns, lines, or partings. No "unnatural" hair colors.

  • No sharp contrasts between the top and sides of the hair; fades must be very gradual.

  • Long Hair: Hair longer than shoulder length must be tied back for practical subjects.

  • Hair Accessories: Hair bands, slides, or elastics must be completely plain, in natural hair colors or navy. No bows, flowers, scrunchies, or other adornments.

Makeup & Nails

  • Visible makeup is not permitted.

  • Nail polish, acrylic nails, and gel nails are not permitted and must be removed before lessons.

  • False eyelashes are not permitted and must be removed before lessons.

👜 Outerwear, Bags & Accessories

Coats & Outside Wear

  • Coats: Plain, waterproof topcoats. No motifs, writing, denim, leather, suede, tracksuits, or hooded tops.

  • Inside the Building: No coats, scarves, gloves, or hats may be worn inside. Peaked caps are banned from school entirely.

Bags

  • Must be a rucksack style in a plain, dark color. No general handbags or tote bags.

  • Must be waterproof, able to be fastened, and large enough to hold an A4 file and school equipment.

  • No logos, branding, or coloured handbags are permitted.

Jewellery Policy

  • Allowed: One pair of small, plain gold or silver studs (no stones), with only one stud worn in the lobe of each ear. One plain, non-fashion watch.

  • Forbidden: Smartwatches and all other jewellery.

  • Piercings: Clear retainers or covering piercings with plasters is not allowed; they must be removed.

  • Sanction: Non-compliant items will be confiscated and held until the end of the half-term for parental collection.

❗ School Liability Note: All personal property (including bikes, phones, and jewellery) is brought onto the school site at the student's own risk. The school accepts no liability for loss, theft, or damage under any circumstances.
